In the last one week, I've been really searching in the internet resources and other sources for scientific evidence and clinical evidence about benefits of ganoderma for cancer patients and its efficacy in cancer prevention.

Prof. Janardhanan, in his presentation to DXN delegates in Chennai (22 Feb. 2010), highlighted the fact that there have been extensive studies that demonstrate the anticancer activity of Ganoderma lucidum and its components. To emphasize his point, he claimed that the incorporation of ganoderma lucidum into the treatment regimes significantly reduced side effects often encountered by patients and that it showed strong activity against breast and prostate cancer. He concluded his presentation by saying “Reishi Ganoderma lucidum represents a practical and promising approach for the prevention and treatment of cancer. Based on consolidated scientific evidence, Reishi is a health food supplement for cancer patients”. The references used in his presentation are as follows:
